*SERIOUS SPOILERS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE MAN FROM POMEGRANATE STREET* so please don't read on if you haven't read it
"'Bring in our newlyweds.' without turning, blind Crispus beckoned. Nubia and Aristo came into the room, hand in hand. Nubia wore a gold silk shift, Aristo a red-leather loincloth and red boots, but very little else. both wore eye-makeup. Flavia stared in disbelief. 'Newlyweds?' she gasped. 'What do you mean?'
'I had them join hands in my little theatre an hour ago.' said Domitian. 'Two hundred men witnessed their marriage, as well as my wife, the empress Domitia. She was so pleased. She cried tears of happiness. You see, Nubia here was Aristo's prize for vanquishing a fierce beast.' He giggled and then stopped, his face serious again. 'The newlyweds will die first,' he said, 'without even having shared a kiss, unless you name the person who killed my brother.'
yay!!!! Nubia/Aristo though i have been rooting for flavia/flaccus for a long time, i've liked this pairing more, cuz Nubia made up her mind very early on, and stayed true to Aristo and trusted him [even when everyone else thought he was a murdetrer] plus, it was hilarious with all the 'omg, but i thought you girls were both in love with flaccus!!!!1' comments
my first attempt at cell-shading, so i've probs got the shiny!hair wrong. aristo's in particular was such a pain.
done in Paint.net, which i really don't like but is better than mspaint. if i had a blur tool it would have been so much easier
anyways....

DeviantART has partnered with FAIR to help promote equality through The Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project. We're asking deviants to align themselves with this cause and have their work judged by Shepard Fairey himself!
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Deviousness Award is an accolade which is traditionally handed out on the 1st of every month to one trully outstanding deviant. `Cyantre is one of the most helpful deviants within our community. With a positive attitude and a resourceful mind, you can always find him providing support and encouragement to those in need. Always looking for ways in which he can get more involved in our community, John's positive presence is to be aspired to. A well respected poet, John is a must-have on your deviantWATCH to make sure that you don't miss out on your dose of community inspiration.
